Who We Are

His Ministries is a “wrap around” ministry created with a heart for children who are or have been disadvantaged by life’s circumstances and must be removed from their homes and place with others either temporarily or permanently. This is usually through the foster care system. We, through a large team of volunteers, support those children directly or indirectly through physical or spiritual means, community, education, or encouragement in order to lessen the burden or enhance the experience prior, during, or following the placement of a child.

His Ministries at First Bible Baptist Church supports the families of Monroe county, but encourages other churches to mimic the model in order to care for those families within their own congregation.

Purpose

•To bring awareness to the crisis of children needing forever or temporary homes bringing about new families to answer that need

•To “wrap around” those fostering and/or adopting through extending the love of Jesus in order to further the kingdom serving christians and non-christians.

Our Services include:

•Meals following a placement or burdensome circumstance

•Prayer Teams that connect with and support the families that they are praying for

•A “Closet” that will supply clothing or supplies to families in need with a new placement

•Babysitting 

•Mentorship

•Date night packages

•Scholarships for adoptive expenses

•Reconciliation support for biological families

Founders:

The 4 families that founded the ministry all foster and/or have adopted children through the foster care systems and understand the struggles, the need for community, services, and encouragement.

Biblical Emphasis and focus on Ministry

•James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this. To visit the fatherless and widows in their affection, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

•Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me

•Psalms 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy
